Contest information: Open to all amateur photographers. Judges will not know the name of the photographer and will see the photos only. The judges will consider the quality of the image and its suitability for use in the Jersey calendar, Jersey Christmas cards, brochures, ads, or other promotional material. Attention youth: Enter the Junior Division: one category and open to all youth ages 18 and under as of January 1, 2011.

Rules and Guidelines:
1. Entries are due by July 1, 2011. All entries must be 8 x 10 inch print size. No digitally enhanced images or low resolution or bit-mapped digital image prints will be considered. If electronically submitted, photo must be at least 300 DPI.
2. Photos submitted via the FTP site must be in a jpg/jpeg or tif/tiff format; photos must be in their original unaltered state (other than standard optimization, cropping, adjusting color/contrast, etc.)
3. Entrants may submit only photos they have taken. By entering the contest, the entrant warrants that he or she is the sole owner of the image and did take the photograph. The photos must not have been previously published or are pending publication elsewhere.
4. All entries become the property of the Jersey Journal and American Jersey Cattle Association.
5. Enter as many photographs as you would like. Multiple entries may be submitted in one mailer. Each entry must have an official entry blank on the back of the print submissions. If submitted electronically, all entry information must be provided in an email with the photo. Entry blanks will also appear online at http://JerseyJournal.USJersey.com/photocontest.htm. Download as many as you need. Or you can request them by phoning 614.861.3636.
6. Photos must feature Registered Jerseys or those eligible for ID services provided by the AJCA. Winning photos will appear in the Jersey Calendar, Jersey cards, and/or printed material for AJCA.
